The Remnant Boutiques is one of the most versatile and heart-warming ministries at Grace Gospel Tabernacle. It is a ministry with humble beginnings that has grown exponentially in a short time and I am blessed to have witnessed that growth. How is it versatile? Personally, the boutique has given me various opportunities to volunteer and leverage my God-given gifts. First I was able to put some of my professional experience to use for a more direct kingdom purpose by helping to develop a registration form and auto populated database. I also like to drive, use my hands and put in some elbow grease occasionally. I've used that to pick up and drop off donations for the boutique. I have also had the pleasure to volunteer in helping our clients shop, offer prayer, and help with clean up at the closing time. This is a ministry that offers flexibility in the assignments, days and times that work with the volunteers' schedules. How is it heart-warming? As a person who can be impatient with results, I find a special joy when I see the smiles and the excitement of our clients when the find something that is just right for them or when I see hope, joy, light on their face after they receive prayer. It's such a joy to see the transformation that takes place with some of the repeat clients. We know it's more than clothes, it's the hospitality, the service, and the prayers touching their lives. There is also a wonderful fellowship among the volunteers. We come together for a come purpose and everyone puts their hands to the plow supporting in the assigned roles or anywhere help is needed at any given moment.
